I thought the TH code was to leave/bury your shovel, as a sign to others, at the spot where the treasure was found & recovered. Sue

Sue many pro TH will leave a sign behind. In the 70's I was hunting in the Big Bend area I found a QT jar with 1-1901 penny in it I keep it as I know I could get 5 bucks for the jar. Long story short years later I was talking to a will known THer who told me that when he made a find he always left a old penny in a jar in its place as a sign to others. He never told what he found and he's gone now so I will never know. I have never found another one but hope to one day.I try to leave a sign also if you find a rock or tree with my name on it I got it so move on to your next lead.

A few remarks from a simle guy   :
1) treasure marks and signs are only good signs when there is something underneath them ,  or they are pointing in a direction .
2) If these marks are good the finder would certainly have looked underneath them  , so they are of no value any  more .
3) If they are any good the finder certainly would not have disclosed them in a book . Unless not valuable , or the finder would have taken out what was underneath them .
My conclusion   : You guys are chasing rainbows  .   Cornelius

Yes..... have to agree, complete and utter waste of time......

As for the Yamashita treasure we have still not seen any pic or documents to prove that these guys or on to something their cons trying to get someone to send money or MDer one even asked for shoes. Is there a treasure I do not know, Will any of this bunch find it I think not.
