I was impressed with the XP detection of the chain. I have read that detectors only 'see' one link electrically, so the strong sound off was notable. This holds true also with tiny gold in matrix, only one speck is seen by the detector. Nice video, thanks.

OK gentlemen,
What video are you talking about? I wanna see it too! :Smiley
Also: I'm planning a prospecting trip to Alaska next summer and would like to (at least partially) replace the shovel and sluice box / dredge / highbanker method with the metal / gold detector method. Wise Any suggestions? I know Minelab seems to be da bomb, but I've been looking at this XP Gold Maxx Power, and so far I can't see spending $4500.00 on GPX 4500! (or am I wrong?) Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Ok,
I can see the video link now - dunno what happened before. Still would like an answer or recommendations for my Alaska trip. GB.

After watching the 3 videos and not understanding French, it seems this detector is no better than anything else out there. It can find a coin when iron is present, so can't a few others, it can find a ring a few inches away from coil, so can't many others, it might find a chain, so can't a few others. No big deal. Doesn't look like a nugget detector either.

Try purchasing a used PI for your alaska trip, my Whites TDI works really works well around hot rock infested areas where my VLF all gold detectors can't be used, we are talking hot rocks every two inches and thousands of them along with tons of black sands, pretty much the same conditions you can expect to encounter in alaska, the TDI did nothing but find all kinds of targets and was not bothered by the enviroment at all, but my minelab eureka gold and my fisher gold$trike both went totally bezerk could not tune out the hot rocks, I bet you can find a fairly cheap minelab PI used or a Garrett Infinium you won't have any problems finding gold..
happy hunting, don't forget your gun for the bears Detecting Detecting Detecting Detecting
