GIDDAY PEOPLE FROM DOWN UNDER. HAVE USED M/L 3000 AND 5000 FOR A YEAR OR SO AS THEY WERE OWNED BY AN OLD FRIEND AND I LOVE CAMPING' I ENJOYED THE M/L'S BUT DIDNT LIKE  THE ENDLESS RACKET SO SEARCHED THE NET AND DECIDED THAT I LIKED GARRET 2500 WHITE VL3 OR DEUS XP. THREE DAYS BEFORE CHRISSY RAN FOR THE DEUS AS IT WAS IN A MODERN TYPE WORLD. I UNPACKED IT CHRISSY DAY AND COULD HARDLY BELIEVE THERE WAS ALMOST NOTHING THERE. A COUPLE OF MONTHS LEARNING HAS NAILED MY DUDS TO THE WALL. I HAVE FOUND A METAL SCREW WITH A BRASS WASHER ON IT AT ABOUT 150MM DEEP AND COULD TELL THE TWO METALS APART BY TONES BEFORE DIGGING. THIS MACHINE CAN BE TOLD TO NOT TAKE MUCH NOTICE OF IRON AND STILL PICH UP A SILVER FLORIN 25MM AWAY WHICH IS WHAT I COULD NOT DO WITH THE OTHERS. A SMALL 1.5G NUGG AT ABOUT 40 MM LIT ME UP AND JUST WAITING TO GO SOME GOOD SPOTS. THE DEUS IS QUIET EVEN IN NIOSY GROUND BUT GOING TO HOT ROCK AREAS WILL TEST IT BUT I AM THINKING OF WACKING A PENNY ON MY BOOT LACE JUST TO LET ME KNOW IT AINT DEAD. WILL WRITE BACK SOON AFTER MY NEXT RUN TO LET YOU KNOW IF IT IS!!!.      CHEERS    RHATSKY

Congrats mate!

In my humble opinion, IMHO.  The XP DEUS is the finest machine I have ever used!  I have been swingin' machines for 35 years.  Personally owned or used just about every brand out there.  (I started way back when with a Heathkit metal detector!)  I like the DEUS so much I became a dealer!

Cheers, Charlotte49er

GIDDAY CHARLOTTE49ER, I JUST RETURNED FROM THE HILLS THIS EVENING AND RECIRVED YOUR EMAIL. I TOOK ANOTHER COMMUNICATIONS EXPERT WITH ME FOR A DEMMO AND HOPED FOR SOME LUCK AS I HAVE MADE MY KIT INTO 2 DETECTORS ( WHICH IS EASY IF YOU USE THE CORRECT WAY OF SWICHING ON) . HE SCORED A LITTLE ONE, NOT WEIGHED YET, SO I AM NOW STUCK WITH HIM, BEAUTY!!!. I USED THROUGH EARPHONE ONLY PROG 8 ADJUSTED THROUGH REMOTE FOR GOLD IN MINERAL GROUND WITH ORIGINAL COIL. I USED THROUGH REMOTE PROG 3 DEUS RHAT WITH LARGE 340MM COIL AND ADJUSTMENTS. WE COULD WORK WITHIN 5 METERS OF EACH OTHER NO WORRIES. IAN SAID IT IS SO QUIET WE ORTA FIT A TAPE DECK. I AM STILL LEARNING AND SUPERKEEN. CHEERS RHATSKY

And the same back to you, mate!

Would you do us all a favor, please? Turn off your caps lock and use upper AND lower case letters. On the forums, it's considered shouting to use upper case only and it's much harder to read.

Thanks.

Hi RHATSKY. That XP DEUS sounds like one heck of a detector.

Gidday Gold Diggar 1950, us 1943 blokes can't see little stuff (pun) i shall proceede properly forthwith. And gidday to poptop from Kansas and Mudflap . a modern phone hears, talks, thinks, hands out its GPS position, weighs nothing and are made by the millions for nothing. Obviously XP saw it the rest will soon learn. With 36 aodio com channels 30 people can run the same program at the same time in a paddock so i think moving up to the modern tech is the better thing.    Cheers Rhatsky from OZ.
