According to their figures there are still 144 million Bombs still there in the ground that are UXB's

  While I was in the UK they were finding 500lb ers   about every week....

Hard to imagine what life would have been like during one of those intense artillery barrages on the Western front , a living Hell daily , no wonder many who survived physically ended up in institutions .. cheers Mick

I think their problems were very wide spread, I think it is incredible that they dumped over 720 million bombs on that area in just 10 months does not bare thinking about.
