"Chippewa Falls (WQOW) - Treasure hunting underground is becoming a popular hobby for many across the nation and right here in the Chippewa Valley. But, before you reach for the metal detector, know this; some local city officials are considering tightening their grip on the rules.
....City officials will discuss these policy options at the next park board meeting on March 10."

I first saw it in our Treasures In the News section.

Do NOT let our hobby go unrepresented!    I guarantee the anti-metal detecting groups will be well represented as will the people whose only knowledge of our hobby is what they see on TV.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

I'm asking ALL of You TO HELP The Members of our Treasure Hunting FAMILY,

This Is Important Guys/Gal's because we need to support our Family/Friends In This,

IF You Live with 50, 100, or 200 miles even more Please do what ever you can to GET THERE, AS The Future of this Hobby and BASIC Rights are At RISK, And this will have a Knock On Effect Across the Whole Country and Not Just Wisconsin but It Can Spread Like A Cancer Eating Away At Your Freedom along with Ruining The Companies who Have supported us in the Manufacturing and Sales of Detecting equipment over the Decades , Not to mention American History Left Rotting In the Ground..

So Again I Ask You All (Who can) Please Make the Effort and Get There and Support Our Family, Or Contact the Club and ask them How You Can Help, I would recommend that you do this First,

Blessin's To You All, And Keep The Dream Alive,

Thanks Everyone,,,   RR

No, I haven't, but I have an idea. If someone could draft up an electronic form letter with our concerns on it so that we could include our names on it and then send it to the Chippewa Falls newspaper I would be glad to be the first person to put my name on it.
