Dang !  Those coins look like they are dang near un circulated.  Wonder ware they came up.  Most any place here in the U.S.A. they would have shown some signs of  Sulfides.
Like to see a follow up on this one.

I found a largish cache in Virginia a long time ago. Shiny as they day they were buried. Most of the New England silver I find is clean except for some sulfide darkening every now and again.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Yeah I was cringing too, Homie.

GD, People keep asking about the depth of machines when it comes to searching for hoards etc, but have never found more than 27 coins in one hole I have to resort to burying my own man made hoards,

A friend came over from OZ this month and I got him a sweet deal on a brand new MXT All Pro which should turn up tomorrow so let the games begin.

Showed the video to the wife and tried to get a new MXTPro.... wife said.  NO!, 😖   Heck  just yesterday I found a 1949 nickel! She said find some more with the 6 or so detectors you have now! ( grin)  That was indeed a haul. I've found the old leather snap change purses loaded with old coins. Like GD said, when hunting in PA most silver came out of the ground like it went in.

Well I just saved my mate over 690 Aussie dollars getting his one, So he's rapped and all fired up, I would not trade mine for no machine, Every time I up date my machines the first one is always the MXT, the others are all good machines but less critical, and it can see bits weighing less than 0.0001oz and with the amount of coils I have there is nothing I can't do with it, where depth is measured in feet not inches, and it has the best Tracking system ever made so it is very hot at prospecting and it will ground balance within 1 or 2 pumps of the coil it is that fast which it shares with it's brother the GMT,

You might have to try again with talking to the good Lady   Kiss

RR.  What's the differences between the older generation MXT300 for example and the current release?

To be honest the MXT-300 is my favourite because I found 3 lots of Gold with it in the first sweep of the coil,    Detecting

The first model was the MXT Tracker E Series, then came the MXT-300 and the MXT-300 came with the new Matt finish paint job and the 12"/300mm concentric coil, these first 2 models when you push the trigger forward would notch out pull tabs which was a great Idea,

Then came the MXT pro and it featured 7 Tone ID and a 3 level back light display and it also came with a ground grab button so if you were working with the ground balance/Tracking Locked you can hit the grab button and it will update the Tracking/GB to the current conditions, or if you are in Auto Tracking if you find a targets you can press the Grab button and it will pause the tracking so the targets does not get ground balanced out but for some reason the MXTs know if it is a target or not so although it will track the ground targets seem to remain, and the Trigger pull tab notch was replace with a Lockable pinpoint mode so you can use it as a non motion machine which is great for tracing cables and pipes under ground and the MXT pro came with the 12"/300mm Coil, The 12"//300 coil has brutal depth and I have seen the MXT 300 hit coins at 13 and a half inches with the Gain set to 6.7  and the gain on all MXTs goes up to 10 then it goes +1, +2 and +3 so it found that coin at that depth with the Gain only up half way,

The MXT All Pro is exactly the same as the MXT pro except it comes with the 10" D2 Coil ( 10"DD ), but I have a soft spot for the MXT-300,

hope that helps,

J.

Excellent info. Thanks. MXT 300 to a MXT Pro might then be worth an upgrade.
