No Corn Squeezin's for me tonight,,,Yet, Great

But Here In very mild Soil I can cheat and Run it in Straight PI mode and that can boost its depth from Anything fro 20% up to 50% more depth depending on the Target  and the Soil,

Depending where I set the controls and the local EMI dictates that, but it is crucial where you set them. PI's do not air test well but that all changes when the target is in the Ground,

Karl with a VLF detector they put out a constant signal, But with a PI you must think in terms of a Ships Sonar as in Bing,,,Bing,,,,Bing,,,, etc and what it does is fire the Pulse (Bing) and when that pulse hits something metallic it Charges that Item and it is the voltage that the detector see's that is different from sent signal Because it fires the Pulse and then it turns it's self off and then it turns it's self back on and listens just like the Sonar on a ship or a submarine, and it is those pulses that make them see so deep in the ground no matter how bad the mineralization is, PI machines loose very little depth no matter what the ground is like and in very mild ground a  PI see's it as not much more than an Air Test.

That is not the exact method but when people talk about PI's Think to your self Sonar and that is a close example of how it works.

J
