Hello Nickel-n , Sorry for the Delay. They are not on the Bench yet .

All I did when I opened the shipping Box was put in batteries, hook the search coils up to each of the 3 Metal Detectors and got the same chatter on all of them !!!
I have a spare search coil somewhere too , to verify that it's The Metal Detector's that are bad , they were manufactured in the 1990s and are discontinued now.  But they are Great Metal Detectors when they work. I have been out of town for a few days again , so need to find my camera and make some more room, and do a few things before I take stuff apart.

Once I get going,  it should not take too long .

Best Regards and Everyone Please Stay Safe !!!

Eugene

Hello Everyone.`

Finally got my Mancave Metal Detector Repair Bench in Order !!!

Due to Forum Rules here I can not disclose the name of this Metal Detector Manufacturer that I am repairing. But its a Great VLF Metal Detector with a Great Feature I love, it has two controls  for both Ferrous and Non Ferrous Range elimination. Too me its like a Wide band Discrimination.
It is old from the early 90s . My preliminary observation on the bench I suspect a problem around IC number U3 and or U5 both are LM358 .
I finally just started the testing today. With better light I will have better photos later and this "step by step" repair will be a "work in progress". Every few days I will try my best to update my progress. I'm semi retired and i'm finally doing number one on my Bucket List !!!

Thank-you to everyone for being on this forum !!!  I have lots of fun on here too,  it takes us away from these troubled times we are in.

Everyone Please Stay Safe !!!

Best Regards...................Eugene
