It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

GD1950, just wanted to keep you up to date about the G&T show here in Georgia. I tried to upload some pictures but they were too big and my internet connection today is bad so I'll have to fix them first.
The show itself was pretty good, it was nice to meet fellow thunters and share information. Kevin Hoagland from Minelab America was there as well and I got to tell you it was really nice talking to him and listening to his lecture on metal detectors. Glad I was there and I'll post some pictures later on!

It is much fun. My wife and I went last year here in Vegas. We had so much fun and learned so much we went back a second day!

Thanks for the mini report and for the pictures to come. Try the attached program to resize the pictures. It's the same one as in the downloads area which is a bulk resizing program. It loses very little in the shrinking. They must have used a really good algorithm in the software. I bought the distribution rights for it a few years ago so it's legally yours if you download it. There is no install. It just sets on your desktop or in a folder and doesn't clutter up your registry.

Perfection! You must be my kind of guy. You went to all the folks I would have gone to. Thanks so much for the pictures and the brief report.

Did you get any hands on time with the new Garrett machines?

GD, I am not really familiar with Garrett (I am new to metal detecting), I was looking at Minelab and Tesoro. I saw the gold stinger and maybe the gti 1500 but trying any detector during the show was really hard to do, way too many signals around but at least I was able to learn something new about properly tuning my Sovereign GT.
Regards
