Hi Guys ! It is very quiet lately ? This morning I couldent take it anymore , grabbed my machine , digging tool and some " fluids " and headed for my old ,good fort ! Not so good idea ! Grass is chest high , lots of unfriendly creatures under and above ! Saw big snake , than learned painful way to stay away from deep holes in the walls - inhabitants didnt share my interest in history ! Below are some pictures of the place , angry wasps and my hand after meeting with them !
In the next post pictures of my only finds today .

Hi Silki...that hand looks painful even from here. Maybe that day was one that you should have stayed home. All the best and hope that hand heals soon. Jim

O.K ! Next part - not so painful anymore ! My only good signals came from some solitary bush - far from wasps !! First came empty shell but with intact primer (?) and next to it old spoon which I almost  left - I tough it is just another shell and my hand was very numb ! Looks like it is military spoon , issue used by English ,South African, Australian , Canadians ( from Internet ) - There was some weak signal again , but I decided to leave it for winter , when all monsters are sleeping !!!  pictures below :

Hi Jimmy ! Good advice - Thanx ! But pain is gone and after day in the bush spirit is high ! At the end it was good , quick escapade and I dont keep any bad feelings toward small creatures ! Thanx for watching and good luck ! Simon . Grin

Hi Silki,

I know what you mean about the long grass..... I went out today to an old house foundation and the grass was up to about a meter high.....
At least you did better than me with your finds...... except for the wasps  No no! I am putting a movie on my YouTube page and website showing my trip..... have put the movie together and should be on the sites within the hour  Great
Those finds of yours are fantastic.... It looks like that site needs a more closer look.... should take you a few trips..... Hey maybe you can find some gold coins with my face on them  Hello
