Sure is BA as all the concentration camps are listed and the names of all the Boers that were there I did not even know that the black were also in the concentration camps, did you know that 24,000 people died (whites) and only 8,000 Boer soldiers? they are not sure how many blacks died though

Not unusual given the attitudes prevalent worldwide at the time and especially so in colonial areas.   I'm not saying it was a good attitude only that it was what it was and that it is something that needs to be kept in mind when researching the period.

BA I have to agree with you, on the historical side the black man has for part been forgotten. I only saw them as people that either helped the British or helped the Boers but never had I thought that they too had been captured and placed in these camps. This is now changing my hole perspective on the way that I am researching these sites and the items found on these sites will have a new meaning for me. By knowing where these concentration camps were I will be able to say weather they were belonging to the white farmers or to the black (probably farm workers)
