Detecting in South Africa

You know how crazy it is for me to come from SA (metric) to the UK (Metric / Imperial) I am used to Km's and UK is in Miles,,, it is great that the speedometer has both, but it is crazy...

  The tonsils are out but the rest....well it could be even worst.

If you grew up with it (as opposed to coming into it as an American stationed in the UK) it wouldn't take you anywhere near that long to figure out the change.  Just like it doesn't take you a whole lot of time to figure dimensions with yards, feet and inches because that's what you grew up with.
