No at the time you were here I was still working on the PI detectors but yes it could be that there is an issue with the LC meter and like I said, this I will find out in a few days from now, see I need to be sure that the glue has dried completely before I can go any further as it could cause problems later on (Inductance) in fact I think that working with the frequency is more accurate than the inductance meter because the coil would be 100% suited for that detector.

I think that the problem originates from my inductance meter

A while back I gave you a link to a very inexpensive but high quality LCR meter. Need it again?

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Went out today for 2 hours to test out my new 5.3 eclipse coil for the Whites MXT Pro.... man does this work or what  Great picked up very little trash with most finds being quality.... check out the photo  Shocked

This field is not too old so most finds are 1800's and 1900's with the odd thing older...

Thanks John for th great info on the coil.... great choice...  Clapp

Au Fever, this machine is fantastic and the 12" coil is brilliant, but it picks up a lot of junk and misses lots of the small stuff.... The 5.3 coil seems to get around all the junk and misses most of it.... Picks up all the good stuff, it is like day and night  Great
