Hehehehe Xavier. I was about 8 and fishing off a jetty in the Hermanus Lagoon.
I took a cast and hooked an old guy sitting behind me in the ear. My Dad HAD A LOT OF EXPLAINING AND APOLOGIZING TO DO!
I still think I should have been paid for the free piercing, or thanked for it at least hehehe!
Anyway, that was all I caught that day.
Wow but it has gone quiet, seems we have lost some soldiers in the last few weeks. Maybe they have gone undercover Freddy Kr?ger
Hopefully they are all just busy!

Funny you should mention that I was just thinking that we have not heard from Silki, The eaves, and Indibean for some time now. Perhaps we should send them an e-mail?
We have many fishing hooks on our beach I found 4 yesterday at no more than a few mm in the sand the problem is when you have one in the foot and you have to get home by foot not to mention that they are rusted so now I got myself a pair of rock shoes but that wont prevent a nice big hook from piercing through.

All the best Xavier

Hi PGill,Xavier.
Any of you have any info on Boer War activity in the Kamieskroon area. I have another hunt to do.
Maps . pics and any references welcome.....unless you have the co-ords for the Kruger Millions, then just send those.
I know that there was activity. Seems that a friend of mine is now renting a large farm. Camping facilities, rock pool dam for fishing and he says they find a lot of horse shoes. The locals say they are British, also have markings apparently.
Well you all know that I am not after horse shoes.....
Do you guys think a tourist type operation could work. As in international/ national visitors? Might be a nice addition to my business.
I am going up there to see if it is going to produce. Now I just want to do some research. Bowersdorp was the original village.
Okay now you guys go and play on google, I'm gonna lie on the coach and drink coffee.....just kidding!

Hi Guys ! I am alive !! Just was busy after Christmas and New Year - fixing and putting people together ! Would prefer actually to build some MD rather ! Sorry for being quiet but I was following all " battles " very closely ! And getting depressed hearing about yours time in the fields !! I would even enjoying pulling few bottle caps from some nice Cape beach - if Viking didnt clean everything by now ! I do understand Xavier frustration with the computers ! In the bush , were I am working internet is so slow that when I click on our forum I can go , make myself a drink , finish it and than hopefully start reading ! So you understand that I am getting dangerously close to became alcoholic , just trying to follow you ! But will continue , just will add more water to the whiskey ! And thanx for remembering me !!!

.
Haven't been to the beach lately. Mostly inland hunting.
Be careful of what you say about battles here, you may have to do a stitch job on yourself hehehe!
Do you do any detecting when you are in the bush. You should speak to the locals about stories of treasure etc. You might find something really good.
Stick around....

Silki
I think there was something about meteorites on Pgills website. I don't know too much about it but I was actually thinking about it for the Kamieskroon Area.
mmmm.....that is pretty weird.
When you have some spare time just pick a good looking area and go over it.......you will be surprised what you find.
I will do some research on meteorites as well, I believe they can be quite valuable and there seems to be an eager market.
Kind regards
Oscar

Agree with you ! Some guys in US and Australia specializing just in meteorites - and according to the logic earth should be hit regularly and equally by meteorites . I saw video of one girl finding huge piece of meteorite and all guys around her just went crazy ! Apparently it was worth Big bucs !
