Of course they delivered my detector, now I just need to learn it..... I have laminated AU's guide and will carry that with me when I go hunting  Great I did test the detector in the back yard 4m x 4m square  Shocked that is where I found the Ammonite Fossils, buddy they are a shell creature from millions of years ago.... Just a little bit older than your oldest find  Laughing

If you look at the photo below you will see what the fossils should look like  Wise

Well that's no lie. I have some new brain wave regarding the making of coils for the detector. I will know in a few hours if the plan works, if it dose I will have solved my problem once and for all (I hope)

Simple?? he went to the bathroom and Looked in the Mirror,    Grin Grin Grin

How did you get on with it Peter, Show us the treasure   Shocked

I'm really pleased for you Peter, weldone mate,

now you can lower the DISC down to about 1.9 and try that but remember to leave the other settings EXCEPT when you are happy with how you are going with it Then run the gain up just past the preset mark (the little arrow) maybe a touch higher, just at the point where it starts to get noisy then back it off just a touch, Ok

With the DISC I prefer about 2.7-2.9 but going to 1.9 will get you digging a little more junk but as i said some of those old coins get Iron stained and by lowering the DISC will let them come through, But try not to go that LOW, as I have found 2.7 to be the best LOWEST setting, Ok

good luck  AU
