Your biggest problem with your detector is that you are missing stuff with the discriminator that's how I found the cricket badge last time. You went over it because there was a piece of steel next to it. When I dug the hole I found the piece of steel then went over the hole again with the pin-pointer and there it was this is why I will find the good stuff next time because you took out all the easy stuff and left some next to the rubbish and there's a lot of it (Rubbish) also by taking out all the rubbish your detector will find stuff that is deeper This my friend is a fact, if I could go there on a regular basis I would get rid of all that rubbish and then have all the good stuff that is down there hiding behind that old piece of tin.

Karl, it is time to give up working on cars, they are a nightmare  Coffee Homie, every time I ask X about his detector, he tries to tell me that he has fixed it and that he will find Australia with it  No no! we will see this weekend if he is telling the truth  Shocked

X, you are 100% right about discrimination, and if I had much more time at the site, I would search it much better, but my time is limited as you know so I have to do what I have to do to get some good stuff at least  Kiss You at least have a lot more time than me... now get a bicycle so that you can get there and get all the iron out first.... hey, maybe you will find the gold coin  Funny Funny Funny Funny Now get that friggin machine ready for Sunday  Detecting

I'll blow you mind out this weekend no really I'm bringing the .44 with and if this detector behaves BADLY (like you) I'll put a slug in it then one in you just to shut you up then I'll use your detector to find that damned coin  Angry (If there is one out there) Now can you please tell me why when I build a detector for someone else it looks and works great and when I build one for me I have endless shit from it? LOL this just aint fair I tell you.  Ho and as for the bicycle there are a few to chose from over here just never had the guts to climb on the thing yet. (Probably will break my neck) but there is one good thing about it there wont be any oil leaks. If all goes well I'll be testing the new detector and if not then I'll just have to use the old one but that's OK with all the mods that I did to it, it should be just fine (Well you'd better hope so)  Grin Bang Bang

The easiest way around this problem is to just BUY a descent detector  Great Hey at least it will work, and you wont need that .44  Grin Grin Grin Grin Oh yeah, and there are coins there as I have found one, ok, it was a 1952 1/4 penny, but it is still a coin  Hello Now how is my pin-pointer going  Cry I hope that you have not wasted too much time on that lawnmower you call a detector  Laughing

Go Up Go Down

Howsit o's.
Went out yesterday, 1 hour at the farm. I found a mint condition '54 2 shilling a '75 2c piece some really old aluminium caps. Also found another heavy flat button with no markings.
On my way back to the car I got another good signal and found a really good condition Lemos(Oros) cap.........and then the whole bottle in one piece he he! It's going to look really cool on the shelf!
Today I went back for 1 hr 40 min. Found some more interesting bottle tops.....this farms labourers come from a long line of alcoholics by the looks of things, then I found a coin that by all accounts looks to me like a penny or half penny....from the 1700's. The coin is seriously badly worn....smooth and in tact but worn nearly so there is no details left. You can make out the head on the back looking right and the lady on her chair on the front facing left. The shield is the most prominent contour visible but you can see the rest of her if you hold it at an angle.
This brings me to a question.....why the HELL is it always the date that's buggered on these coins?
Anyway she sleeps in olive oil... I 'll give it a couple of days and see if it had any effect.
Camera is charging so pics will follow soon.
Cheers ladies.

Almost forgot, I also found a really old iron axe head today, should be interesting when I've cleaned it a bit.
Okay later! Detecting Detecting Detecting Detecting Detecting Detecting Detecting Detecting
