It's a neat package Xavier, I hope it works as well as it looks. By the way. How did you do the coil mount to the shaft?

Go Up Go Down

Well went detecting today  Great only found a couple of items as the grass is so long (photo's)  No no! But X, and myself enjoyed ourselves and of course I drank his beer  Exhausted X, used his new detector but battled somewhat, but the detector is looking promising. The only problem I have with it is that all he found today was a garden hosepipe connector made of plastic and about 15 golf balls  Idiot but NO METAL  Funny Funny Funny I don't know what goes through his mind  Crazy

My finds: 1 bullet head, a piece of tin that looks like a tag, but do not see writing, A singletons snuff tin lid, and a piece of copper from something  Great

The photo's show my finds and shows you why we battle to detect  Thumbs Down

Yeah Homie, wicked buggers  Thumbs Down we have about 5 different varieties, all deadly. We also have the puffadder, vipers, and boomslangs... all poisonous, oh and all the spiders  Shame That all does not really worry me too much though, what matters is that it is difficult to swing a coil in 3' high grass  Angry

Here in NM, we have Mojave Rattlesnakes that are every bit a Deadly as Cobra.   Neurotoxins.

Last year some dumb butt had one for a pet and it got him on the thumb.   He was dead in two hours.

I believe that X has had a number of snakes on the farm. I am careful of my surroundings, but must admit I do not let snakes worry me  Great

We also have scorpions which are nasty things... I think that most of these animals are more scared of us than we are of them... We just have to respect them, and leave them alone  Great

Go Up Go Down

Coming back from a field trip in the Big Bend one of our group changed into his tennis shoes so he would be comfortable for the return trip. When he stopped the truck on the side of the road to take a leak, a Western Diamondback got him on the heel. We had to drive to Marfa to find a doctor and the anti-venom had to be flown in. It was nearly 6 hours before he got it and his leg was black up to his hip. He lost part of his foot and came really close to losing his leg. He was in the hospital for over a month.... Shocked

Gambol, that does not sound so good... hope he recovered well? Crazy creatures, but they are not going anywhere in a hurry, so we just need to give them space  Great
