I don't know what is more frightening, the fires or Xavier to the cows  Laughing Laughing I can understand why they would run either way  Rider

Yep, the dumb azzes will freak out and run right into the fire.

Burn up there hooves and legs.  Or Worse.

Smoke gets them before the fire.

Huh? ouh and do you know what the cost is? big bad news mate they will even go to the point to stampede their own calves and they are very good mothers. Just to say how bad the fire can freak them out. OK well enough of that I have some good news the detector that I have been working on is working. I have found that you can't use a cap to balance out the frequency when using the same wire gauge for the TX and RX coil you have to change the wire gauge I used 0.5mm and 0.35mm I only have 21 turns difference between TX and RX but the out come is so good that I'm going to buy a roll of 0.25mm wire to do more testing and if I can I will also get some 0.15mm.

Peter I am working on your pin pointer so don't piss me off  Angry I could just get it all wrong  Grin

Wire gage has more to do with DC current then Impedance Z.   Both are effected along with Inductance but not as much as I Current.

One of my other hobbies is Pulse Jet engines.

This is like one but only does one shot at a time.

Check this Puppy out.

What a mean practical joke that would be. Have it randomly beep. It would drive him crazy.

I'll give you a dollar if you make it that way.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Grin Grin You guys have just given me a great idea I'll program a small PIC with a random code and a buzzer (Short beep and long beep) that should keep old Peter busy for a while  Grin

Homefire that cannon looks like fun but how does it work? could I build a smaller one?

Here is the box still busy finalising the coil at the moment but thought that I would post these while I wait for the glue to harden.
