Oh, Pgill, my mistake, thought that was a bud light. My eyes are going going darn near gone. And lol, homefire, wish I had kept my baby pictures, brings back memories of swimming into things in the dark.

Cheesy Man but you were a pretty baby  Grin lucky thing that you did not turn out to be a frog OK so here are the latest on the detector I got it all in the box did all the wiring turned it on and all seams to be normal (This is not normal) now I still have to wire up the coil plug that in and then do some testing. Reason why this is taking so long is because we have started alterations to the house and I now have a lot more to do than normally.

The reason it is taking so long is that you are slack  Wise now get to work and get this frigging detector finished, and stop worrying about the frogs  Grin Grin Grin Grin Oh, and do a good job of the house, I will be watching you  Shocked

OK well here are the day's events I got the coil on the detector and it works BUT detection depth is pathetic and I will have to make a new coil. I do have a question on a VLF you have three coils the TX the RX and the bucking coil the cap on TX (LC circuit) is the same as the cap on RX also an LC circuit what I don't get is why would you have twice the number of turns on the RX than on the TX coil? inductance would be way out on the RX coil or does the bucking coil bring the RX coil back to the same frequency as sent to the TX coil? Any answer will do as long as it's the right one LOL
