One good Solar Storm would wipe out all but the basics now days.   LOL

They would be going house to house looking for the CB radios people had stached away.

I still have my morse key which I used with a 1/4 watt transmitter, and we used to get out far in the right conditions.... Very crude it was, but worked  Grin Grin Grin Morse always got out further than the radio's  Clapp even the boats preferred morse in the old days, the sos from the titanic was in morse  Funny Funny Funny

Hi AU, great to hear  / see you here  Great Believe it or not, normal radio would not of worked as good as the morse (in those days anyway), even in this day and age, airports still use morse to identify the airport. If you use a scanner you can often pick it up if you are near enough to the airport.... Morse seems to get to places that normal signals do not  No no! I think X, needs to use morse, as his internet does not seem to work so well  Funny Funny Funny Funny

AU, have you still got your detecting equipment? Do you still get out into the fields? I had a great day with you  Great very memorable occasion  Clapp X, uses the tin can and string to communicate, but the thieves stole his string  Laughing
