Hi Peter.  I got the address.  I'll be sending something your way within a couple of weeks.  It will be something I actually found myself with my detector.  Hope you will like it.   Great

Been mostly snowy and cool here, hope it is better there.  Probably quite on here because everyone is holed up or busy.  X is probably playing with the sheep!    Grin   Some need coffee Coffee!

"Keep on swingin'!"                                       Detecting

When you talk to X on the phone tell him "hello" for me.  I still say cows are dumb (or they act so stupid as to appear really dumb)!   Grin

Ice detecting?  I'm thinking not!  I used to love the cold and snow, but since I've gotten older I get chilled too easily and it takes forever for me to warm back up!  Hot coffee (I'm not much of a coffee drinker), hot chocolate or hot cider helps, but I prefer to stay warm!   Br-r-r-r-r-rrr!!

Our winter is nearly upon us  No no! fortunately our winters are only about 3 Months of the year and generally not bad during the day  Great the mornings and the evenings are another story  Exhausted I also work at a sewage woks, and working near water is a killer  Amen

X, has been very busy as they have had lots of new animals this year, and have been ploughing fields and bailing grass... a lot of work, but they seem to be doing well. X has also been busy making cheese, butter and growing vegetables, he is coming right. Now he just needs to learn how to detect  Laughing

pgill, reading about the restored Rovos Rail line from Pretoria to Capetown. Now that is a ride I would like to take.  Poor X too busy to metal detect. I get that way some times but then I remember what the improtant things are. To enjoy the world just as you find it without feeling you need to make it better. Though I did put in a garden this winter.  Great

Well, I've been detecting Smiley Found an old little sterling ring to take my count up to six silver, my first for the year. There's still a lot of fluffy sand on our beaches here. Had some good surfing over the weekend.

Gambol, thanks for your ace250 settings tip. I find jewellry setting with the first bar disced out, and two sens bars off to be the most effective on wet sand. In the dry I use all metal, or a custom setting with only the last few bars active where it's really trashy.
