Homie, where did you get those photo's of my bottom of the yard cottage  Idea

Look what the cat bought in.... Howzit Viking bud, was wondering where you had disappeared to  Hello we thought you had fallen of the wire somewhere  Grin Grin Grin Grin glad to hear that you have been busy, guess that means that work is good?

They do rake the beaches, and at times, they also change the sand on the beaches. They arrive with truckloads and rake it down.... this they do at night when you are asleep. 1 year we watched them.... they graded the sand and cleared onto trucks and took it away, and other trucks bought in nice new clean sand which they then graded back onto the beach making a new beach.... was good fun watching them, and so quick....

What a person needs to do is find where they take the old sand, would be some good finds there  Great

Viking, glad to see you were awakened!  We also speculated that you found the Big One, like the Kruger millions and were just too rich to talk to us anymore!  Grin Grin   Welcome back.

Finding where they dump that sand might be a jackpot!  Maybe they just take it to another beach and spread it around some more.    Cry

Nice little shack, that garden cottage!  Great

Hi All,  Viking if its Camps Bay you are talking about then yes they are running some kind of grader over the beach every now and then. This thing scrapes about the top 6 inches off the beach its got  a  conveyer belt that empties out into a hopper it sifts the sand back out onto the beach leaving fine deep sand. The only place they could not use it was the drop off to the water and around the rocks/ pool..They used it on New Years day starting at 4am, there were a couple of us detecting but we never stood a chance...

Hi Taylor, great to hear from you  Great The way you are talking about sounds more interesting than the grader we saw changing the sand.... It is bad when they need to do this  Angry I think the guys who are cleaning the beaches must find some good stuff in the sand they remove. Just need to find where they dump that rubbish they remove  Cheesy

A while back, can't remember were I seen a post and photo's of a guy that went through the dumping piles from those machines.

He found Rings, Phones, Chains, Wallets, and stuff your imagination would lack at.
