Hi Speedy_G

Super happy to have another South African on board great to have you. At the moment I'm in the land of all evil (JHB) but what you were saying about the landmarks is very interesting and is worthwhile investigating.

All the best

Homefire, you are supposed to hand in valuable, or older than a couple of hundred years old items to the antiquities board for evaluation. The find then gets checked and certified and all details noted of where it was found etc.... then museums etc have a choice to buy it for what it has been valued at..... if they don't buy, it comes back to you..... That is basically the root it takes. Some people do not follow what they are supposed to do..... There is the advantage of the item being properly recorded so that history is always remembered and that people do get to see stuff i the museums which is a good thing  Great BUT things do not always go well for the finder, therefore not all the finds get to the antiquities.....

Go Up Go Down

Back in the 80's I bought a 8ft kayak and jumped in the canals time and time again.

I paid something like 110 dollars for it and sold it for 80 dollars time to leave.  Sure made my money out of it.

Got the What for from some boaters saying I was out of bounds a few times!  LOL!

Caught many a Brean on that boat.

Even a few smaller Pike.

I could pull it up to any place the big barges couldn't and had a blast.
