I will check that radio for you but it looks like the one they had in the C47B it was called the sky train by the Americans

pgill, I looked at your radio page. Took me back. I still have my National Radio Ham reciever 1941, and my HC-65 transmitter in the attic together with test equipment from the 1940's. I guess my son will get rid of it for me in a few years.  Undecided

Hey Peter like your radios I saw some on the net some time ago in a kit that came with the wooden housing and all the valves one day when I'm big I may even build on of them.

Regards Xavier

CB radio was a blast..... I had a mast with a big antenna on it, forget the name of it now, but built it myself..... Had a perfect SWR on it, and my Royce was fully open so used to talk all over the world with it..... I aslo used to have great fun on the 2m band.. especially on Saturdays which was the market day etc..... And was involved in BCAR (balloon carrying amateur radio) which was done for satellite research.... I still have a couple of recordings on tape for it.... great fun those days...

I had a CB once that I use to play around with but it never really got me exited I have two here small jobs but both work now one had the mike wire eaten by some or other rodent the other a broken wire on the speaker. Think I must make metal detectors out of them LOL

Xavier, maybe you can use the sensitivity on the radio for discrimination or something  Teach if you keep the mike on the radio, you could drop it down a hole and listen for the gold coins,,,, they make their own sound "Get us back to Peter"  Welcome
