Good luck to you.... try normal size components, like us normal people do  Idiot Those components are placed on a board using an oven not a soldering iron....  Grin Grin Grin But don't worry, get that frigging detector working and we will forgive you  Amen When you coming back to the land of nod? My cars boot still has all your magazines waiting to be given across to you  Teach
Anyone heard from AU lately? he has gone very quiet..... Umm maybe they have stolen his internet cables  Shocked

Grin Grin Thanks mate like I did not know that these components were placed on the board with a paste then in the oven it's just the cooking time that concerns me LOL just kidding Grin Went out detecting today (no rain) but all I found was a 303 casing  Embarrassed those Kruger Rand are eluding me ho well back to the drawing board I think I need a smaller faster coil and a higher frequency that should do it for gold by the way do you know if there are gold nuggets to be found? and where if thats possible in SA .

Regards Xavier

You burnt the cake last time  No no! now you want to bake SMT  Idiot you are sick my friend  Laughing

Any gold nuggets must be posted with the coins to me.... just remember that  Hello I think you need to go to Barberton / Pilgrims rest for nuggets.... I did see about 3 nuggets come out on the conveyor at Westonaria's gold mine back in 1990.... But we did not know exactly where they go onto the belt..... But remember that is a deep mine.

Well if I don't have a magnifying glass I cant read the value on the IC's so I know what your problem is in fact the next best thing to my soldering iron is the mag glass, with out it I'm lost and when things get real bad I take a photo at the highest resolution dump it on the PC and enlarge it till I can see the problem like them cat whiskers.

Pgill

I went to Pilgrims rest in the late 80's in thous days you could pitch a tent in the forest and no one would bother you Man I do miss them day's. I reckon that if you did some panning in the river's and streams you could find some gold dust but nuggets?

By the way could you PM me your personal email address I just cant seem to find it Or did you ever give me one?

All the best
Xavier

On my last Toshita computer I could de focus my web cam far enough to do that.  LOL!

This New Toshita has a built in camera and So far I've not been able to find software to support a USB Web cam.

Everything boils down to this one being 64 bit.

I plug in my old 12.00 dollar camera that worked fine on the other and it doesn't even see it.

Yes I went that root too but I found that using the camera with a tripod worked a lot betted especially when you need to find that crack in a track or a cat whisker I ones had a hair that got itself on the positive 20 it wasn't human but rather synthetic very thin when I burned the board it left a tiny cut in the track actually two of them if it had not been for that camera I'd still be looking for the problem LOL that's the time you start thinking about tinning the entire board. So from what your telling me you will have to get a new web cam. Do you mounted on a tripod or do you just hold it by hand?

OK so then you just do the focus from the PC Nice well I sure hope that you can find the software that you need for it unless you still have your old PC you're pretty much in a jam. At the moment I'm doing the board layout for SMT components I like doing that you can make the board as big as you like and no need for the mag glass LOL just routing is a lot harder than with through hole components.
