No license required for dirt fishing if you are a senior. Faked it and casted off hoping the Lands and Forest people didn't catch me.
Grabbed my rod which was attached to Quota Guru. Floundered a tad on where to go so just pointed Nogo southward as the tide receeded. Wind was whipping. As I started to ground fish I was herring a tune as the wind flowed through the Guru's shaft producing a pleasant sound similar to a trumpet fish, just as tasty, with the byproduct that relaxed one. What the hake I'll take a free concert anytime as opposed to listening to a school of rugrats. Saw a brown jellyfish washed a shore. On closer examination I was over powered by a strong smell...um....jello from a dogfish. Used my sieve, scooped it up and deposited it in the handy garbage can. The nerve of some folk leaving their catch like that! You cod only imagine how disgusting especially in an area where kids pool. Where in the halibut is some folks minds?
Anyway hooked on bottom several times pulling out a baby car , key, weight and numerous pull tabs. Highlight was a new hood ornament for Nogo!
Whale of a time and ended up catching 6.55 pounds with 3 over limit. By the end of the outing was ready to be filleted as my face contracted like a clown fish in agony. Once home had a nice plate of sculpin potatoes which I told the hunny bunny was undercooked. Had to clam up for the rest of the evening for fear of being hammer headed.
