Hi,
this one is a true surprice, US one cent (only date on it is 1928, what ever that means) found in heavy forest soil about 8 cm deep (EEth) in Sochia valley, Slovenia. I would never expect to find US currency here.

Thats a 1928 wheat penny. We like to find them here in the U.S. because the age shows there could be silver there. Meaning the date they quit making wheats is around when they changed the silver coins to "clad" coins. I don't see a mint mark below the date so it's worth about 6 cents.

Thanks,  m*70, this one looks like cupper (or maybe a cupper alloy) to me.

If it is 1928 it is deffinatly copper. Before 1982 they were all copper (except the steel years). After 1982 they started adding zinc. My comment of findings wheats and you find silver....meant that the other coins (quarters, dimes..etc)in the area if found and have the older dates will be silver. Great

I would bet that coin was lost by a US soldier sometime during WWII. NEat find, esp. given the location.
