At first I thought it was a first generation type of lug nut wrench, but after looking I think you are correct. It is a crank for an early type engine

i was thinking the same on pic no 2, i have a couple of those old hand drills that share the same shape, with wooden handles on them, but with the possibility of the wheel hub, a hand crank sounds more fitting....would be interesting to see what other kinds of old auto parts may be in that area!

) than any of the old automobile cranks I've seen.  All the automobile hand cranks I've seen have a double bend rather than the four bends this has.
