201 and 205 are both DC-3's or C47's in the Army Air Force Days. When I was in Africs in 2004 the country I was in brought in two DC-4's everyday for their drugs that were sold everyday there. Beautiful old birds Kiss, the pilots looked like they belonged to a outlaw motorcycle gang lmao Round About Club

I was flying on a DC3 from Air America and it stopped in Missawa Japan for fuel. I was in the snack bar and they announced reboarding. I was last in line at the snack bar and finally got my burger. There were only two of us left in the snack bar. Some old bus driver with the old time bus driver hat and myself. Some agent came in and started giving me a ration of #$$ because I wasn't on board yet. I started to get up and the bus driver spoke up and told the agent to buzz off as the plane wasn't going anywhere till he finished his soup and the kid over there finished his burger!!!  Grin I chatted for a while with the guy and he had over 10,000 hours flying DC3s!! We finished lunch and mozeyd back to the plane!!   True Story... Cool

Thats awsome! I am guessing in the 60's? Air America still flies, however their planes are a schooch more modern. My dream plane is Stearman PT-17. Off topic I know but love the old birds.

Yeah late 60s. They flew dc-6s in Japan also. They were cool rides. One time the air vent cowl fell from the ceiling ... the steward walked up nonchalantly and duct taped it back up !! Grin Grin

Yikes didn't mean to swipe eckstar's thread....Maybe he will post some more neat garage clean out pics!
