My dads favourite was, "about as much use as a wet fart in a culender"  No no!

While I was stationed in Florida, My Ante came to visit.

She lived in a cabin up in the Adirondack Mt's of New York.

She had only been in the house 20 minutes and asked to use the outhouse.

We showed her the bathroom door.

After 15 minutes of hearing her Giggling and the Toilet flushing over and over we went to see what was going on.

Bathroom Door open, there she was!

Sitting on the edge of the bath tub with her feet in the toilet.

She flushed it one more time and looked up.

With the biggest grin on her face she said,   I gotta get me one of these foot washer things!

 Shocked

My grandma used to say "fat as a tick."  I never knew what that meant because we didn't have ticks where we lived.  Now I live in an area that does have them, and all I can say is, "Eeeew!"

Pardon me but I believe the politically correct term is "Inclined William," not Hillbilly. How utterly insensitive of you, mate. Tongue

My family always used *mountain William* but you might even say *diagonally challenged William.*

Anything but *anti-revinooer.*  Shocked

BUT! My gramma was born in flat lander country, because my great-grandpa was a TRAVELING Hillbilly preacher.  Grin

I shamefully admit to having many preachers in my family tree, even though I am a *Shamanist,* more inline with others in my ancestry.  Kiss

Hey, there is a railway sign, in Norway that says *Gods Ende no Helle!* (It means something different when translated!)

or you could say he's about as usefull as an ashtray on a motor bike, or a chocolate teapot, the list is endless, and thats without throwing in cokney rhyming slang and all the regional dialects its as confusing to us so it must be like chinese to you Tongue

I am not so sure about them being Chinese, as these sayings tend to travel! I also understand about 16 dialects of English.  Shocked

Golddigger - my ancestors were Druids, which is why this whole stump shooting escapade is so distressing... Grin

I've been praying that nobody shoots a hole in my trunks - at least while I am wearing them at the beach! Whoa!

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

I'll keep that in mind when I'm aiming at stumps . . . to make sure you aren't in 'em. Grin

My apologies to the Druids on the forum Embarrassed
