Today was the first day in over a fort night that Navy Davy and I were able to collide for a dig. After the mandatory stop at the Golden Arch for coffee and a Rotten Ronnie's breakfast sandwich we hit a sports field. Wasn't long before a few coins started popping up with ND and I each getting a button. His a flat one and mine this fairly modern navy one.

She was a hot one and the both of us sweating heavily. Mind you I felt sort of bad as I had on the nifty new tshirt that Mr. Brush from the RGV Metal Detecting Club had sent me.

Thanks again for the shirt!
Anyway we moved to another field and finished off our joint dig. Here is ND's pile.

ND dropped me at home. Changed into my multi environmental digging outfit and was on my way again within 5 minutes. Hit a school yard to bolster my coin count to quota then headed for the lake.
Upon arriving at the lake I was greeted by a sea of young children and teenagers clad in purple tshirts running, dancing and singing as they scampered on the beach and in the water. Got a chance to read the "Barney" coloured garb which indicated that they were from a summer camp for the mentally challenged . Man were they having a great time. Not one bothered me and they behaved well. I felt that I fit in! Speaking of fitting in. Thought my "Happy face" that I scooped up in waist high water was appropriate for how the day went!
