Hay Relic Raiser,
Boy, that would be neat if ya could find something
scientific about tha rocks.
I'd be interested in anything ya find out.
At this stage, I still think you may be dealin with hot
rocks.
A lot of MDers have problems with them. Some areas
do not have them, and other areas seem to have too
many of them.
I have been in areas where they are hard to deal with,
even with a detector that has manual ground balance.
Your Tracker IV is a good starter machine.
I had a BH Quick Draw II. I paid $210 for it.
I know now that tha Tracker IV works just as well as
tha QD II. So I wasted money. But money spent on a
hobby I love was not wasted. If ya know what I mean?
I do not care for bells and whistles. I just use non-TID
machines with analog controls.
I had some TID machines. Was not happy with any of
them.
Others think I am an old coot stuck in a rut.
That is OK, I like my rut.
As far as those rocks. Until you are able to make them
not respond, maybe you should learn them.
Tha best way ta find treasure is to know yur trash well.
So, if ya can learn ta deal with, and ID tha rocks, thay
can respond and ya don't have ta dig um.
I sometimes put up with false responses in troubling
ground so I can keep my depth.
If ya tune out tha rocks just using sensativity and
discrimination, you will be loosing yur depth and
sensativity to small objects.
So, for now, maybe some learnin is on tha minu.
Hope ya can learn and deal with it. That is what it
is all about.
Happy Huntin,
Tabdog
