Go Up Go Down

Last Sunday I was out to the park picking up from where I'd left off the previous hunt, and picked up a few interesting items. Wiffle ball?!! and button was pretty nice too. the shiny's were from right underneath the playground equipment, rest in the grass not far from the playground.

Playground equipment is death to metal detectors, because they 'go off' within just 2 feet of your detector's coil. Imagine if you could negate that whole signal out, and only look for the spillage!

That Yellow thing is a Wiffle Golf Ball.  You can smack the BEE GEEEEE"S out of them and they only go a few ft or so.   Not into golf my self but seen them in use.

Maybe we should devise a play ground hardware eliminator! <grin>  For my anchient Whites CM I had a "Iron eliminator" stick, that was a tuned circuit ( I really think it was a chunk of ferrite in a plastic sealed tube) that when placed on the coil and the detector tuned changed the phase relation ship of the detector to null iron. It was the cat's meow back then.....

The Ole Whiffle Ball. You could by using your fingers over the slots throw all kinds of crazy pitches. Curves, droppers etc. We used to play Whiffle ball in a city street as like Homie said they would not fly too far.
