Posted on: August 14, 2014, 02:12:43 pm Hi Carl, initially, I thought that the coins were going to be some GI'S pocket spill from the war years but at a total count of some fifty coins he would have to had rather deep pockets. I am presently trying to follow up on some research for the area and will be returning to the field tomorrow. Hopefully, tomorrow, the farmer will have harvested in the wheat and I will be able to investigate a larger area around the spot where the coins were situated.
I will report back here on this thread any more finds from that field. I should also be able to post some better photographs, based on Xavier's photographic advice.
