Go Up Go Down

finally got permission to detect a local flea market site .. what a blast my daughter and i had..

we found many clad coins $3 to $4 worth, but we also found many other things.  a wooden whale salt shaker, rubber bracelets, costume jewelry, and not to mention the random things my 5 yr old thought were interesting (marbles, toy cars, etc) all in all a fun day..

also the owner saw how much fun we were having and invited us to come back anytime  Grin
and if he could try detecting too. maybe my best find of the day a new friend and a new detectorist

Hello coincointer and everyone . That was a great idea because in some parts of the country they are located in a park or grass field / dirt field where there is no concrete or asphalt . Most flee markets or swap meets are only open certain times of the year . So when they are closed get permission , and then go in to "clean them out" !!! Another place to look is old abandoned drive-in theaters ........... I do not know if any drive-in theaters still exist , but it might be a potential detecting site !! Thanks for posting !!
Regards...........Eugene

Spreading the word about detecting, and promoting a 'good' side of detecting is one of the priceless joys that come with the hobby.  Thanks for sharing this experience with us, hopefully more will come in the future!! Wink
