just cleaned the 2 junk rings from last nights finds,nice disign on one of them,was once gold plated,2 angel heads with floral pattern on the band,ca 1900-20 I would say,I claened the junk from this ares this summer and this is the results,as I said keep going back over the areas you have searched in the past,search slowly,sorry about the pic quality...mike

You know, Mike, one mans junk is another mans treasure and those are excellent finds. When I find old rings and jewelry etc. I always wonder about the person that wore them and how they could have lost them.

What you said about going slowly is one of the most important things to learn about detecting. Being in a hurry only results in frustration and missing some important stuff! I hope all the newbies around will read this post.

Sweet, rings are good. Definitely slower is better, I'm new to the hobby and finding that out also.
