We ventured to a city a little farther than we usually do.

It felt like 100 degrees out there. I really had aches and pains due to the heat.I had to take some pain relievers for the muscle and bone aches. I guess I'm getting old.
We found most of the finds in a very small park that is not old. I guess big things come in small packages.
Summer is on its way. We are due to get up to almost 100 next week.

I can't tell if it's a Zippo. There is some type of fabric on the outside and it seems to be a butane type lighter.
It has been in the ground for a while and it the mechanics on the lighter are frozen with all the dirt.

Eventually hunting will be limited to the early hours of the day with the temps rising to the high 90's or hotter.
I am taking advantage of the weather while I can still get out and endure more than 3 hours of the heat.

Colibra and others knocked off the Zippo.  Look at the bottom of the lighter.  Zippo with some // marks if Zippo.  the more marks the higher the Grade.  Most I've seen was four.  ////

Don't think Zippo made Butane lighters.

No marks. I think it's a cheap lighter.
It's covered with some material and some heart shaped pic on the front.

Detecting is like opening up a Cracker Jack box. You never know what is in the hole you dig.
