Here's my very first finds MD. Antique Lock marked J A Goewey Albany NY.patent Feb 8 1859 Smiley Gold ring missing huge stone..have to test what K ? Smiley 38-55 Winchester shell casing  Smiley Dill mfg co. valve stem puller dated 1915 ....& many very old square nails........it's a start. Found all in one 20 ft area. Many more items that I need to get pictures of.  Smiley I do believe much more around area...need to get rid of the frozen ground first. That's upsate NY for ya....

Weldone 1860, and gold on ya first strike, thats one big lock you found there it must of blew ya ears off.
I bet theres a mess of good stuff in your patch don't stop now,

Very nice job indeed I'd say.  Really like the antique lock and valve stem puller.  Congrats on the gold ring as well as all the other finds.  Keep searching that place there's bound to be plenty more goodies to find.

 Hello I guess  it must of been that irish luck....you think I wasn't surprised !!!!!!! Shocked Anyone have a stone finder Huh? I would relly like to see what was in this baby. Going to wait for dryer weather and get me screen out....might just be worth the time ya know ? Just tonight , I found some old chains...hooks, pitch forks ( 2 ) no handles, antique wrenches and tons of bolts & more brass belt buckles or buckles for horses. OH...and horse shoes...4 of them. have yet to test the ring...waiting for new acid to arrive.....get n itchy to...thanks BA
