Found my first silver coin yesterday. 1945 Mercury dime. (I hear trumpets... no just some of you snickering). First one for me though, that was not won in a hunt or raffle. Found silver rings, no coins. Speaking of rings, I found a nice one yesterday. A class graduation ring from Jostens. Not silver, but worth about $20-$25. Looking for owner. The cell phone I found the day before was apparently discarded by the owner. Cell phone was wiped clean, no sim card, no service. It works though. Might use it for a second phone. Found some clad too. All in all, a good day at the park.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

Probably not. Sad It's one of those Obama phones. I paid for it in taxes, so I guess I should keep it. A charger, sim card and touch screen are going to cost more than the dang thing is worth new. Don't even mention the carrier cost or a minutes card.

Good finds, those cross coins are interesting.   Yes those mercs are unforgettable when found.   I hope you find the 1916 D  worth 1000s or the 1921s worth 100s.
