SAVO TREASUREMASTER
« on: April 06, 2010, 06:48:08 am »
Go Up Go Down

My very first Metal Detector find, made on the 5th April 2010. Read my letter in "Metal Detecting in General" titled EARTH SHATTERING ANNOUNCEMENT and pass on your comments especially the comical ones.
I use a "top of the range" SAVO TREASUREMASTER, this is the Scottish version of the WHITES BEACHCOMBER and is only 30 or 40 years old. If it gets any better than this and I make a find of even greater value I will upgrade to a slightly newer model and it must be a Whites because we have a Whites factory here in Inverness, Scotland (just a few miles from here) and they are BRILL.

Hi Earth Whisper, If you read my messages on page one you will see I think it is a bit of aluminium strapping. Thanks for the interest as this is my very first find but with my job it is difficult to get time to go out thunting. Hope to get back out there soon and make my fortune. MANY THANKS, John.

Its out their, and I know what you mean about haveing the time. I work all the time and am booked on weekends with family or militairy dutys, I either have to put in a vacation day at work to go detecting, or Ill get one day on a weekend where i actually have nothing else going on.
Well good luck to you, you picked a awsome hobby and I hope you find great things! "Lots of luck!"

Have you had a chance to get back out with that SAVO yet, or are you too busy giving the tourists the grand tour?

BA

Hi BA and All fellow Thunters, I'm sorry for the tardy reply to your messages but with doing boat trips and rebuilding the brakes and bearings on the boat trailer etc. I have not had a spare minute to myself. I'm also afraid to say that I have not been out with my trusty SAVO lately. I hope when things settle down to get back out there but mean time I have to get on with my responsibilities. Many Thanks for your great messages, keep them coming. It is nice to be in touch with such fine friends. Yours very sincerely, John.

I'm not so sure where I'd rate rebuilding the brakes and bearings on the boat trailer, but the choice between boat trips on the Loch and swinging the SAVO would be a tough one.... since the Augusta pays the bills, I guess it's only right that she get the time.  Smiley   (At least the scenery is good).
