Go Up Go Down

We dont usualy go out so early to our 1812 sites but the weather looked like being cool "NOT!!" anyway once we got there had to have a go, we had bought along plenty of deet "OFF" which was very helpfull.
The plant material was too high so we picked our way through to the clear area's found a lot of modern cartridge cases actually hundreds in one spot and they wre all head stamped 1992 never seen shell casings that were dated so late.
Got the usual WW1 stuff but only two 1812 items a ball and a buckle also a 1960's magazine with one round still in it.
Had a great time but we are not returning till mid October when things have flattened out a bit and cooled down....................HH...Johnnn
Any help with the coke bottle it is green and on the bottom just says it is from New York.

Nice going John. When I first looked at the small pic of the knife before enlarging it, I thought it looked like a burp gun!! What is the second to last item?

Hi BA,
The bottle is 6 oz , can you tell me anything about it? I only found it because the lid was still on it.....HH.....Johnnn
Hi Mud Flap,
Now thats an item I should have spoken of, it is a "vehicle jack" and it was in the vertical position which took me a while to get it out as it was completely buried which to my thinking means someone used it to lift a vehicle out of what must have been a muddy place "not evident" now as it was very dry there.
HH.........Johnnn

Johnnn, unless it is a reproduction it is probably from sometime between 1923 and 1958.

Here are two of the more helpful links I found on vintage coke bottles

That would be an FAL rifle magazine, held 20 rounds of 7.62x51 ammunition.
