Well we put in a couple hours at the backstop field just north of an older school. It will be my 5 hunt there and about 175 coins later still finding coins. I got 51 more today. 15 quarters, 14 dimes, 8 nickels, and 14 pennies. But so far I have 5 wheats, 1 63 rosie, silver ring and a real nice Saint Christopher both sterling. So three silvers out of one field is good for me. My partner got a silver ring as well yesterday so tha's four keepers. So it pays to look for the unmolested places LOL I am thru about 2/3 of the area and will keep going until I cover the whole field. It seems to be a late 60s early 70s looking at coin age distribution. To bad not 10-20 years older!

Awesome! I've done the same to a park near me, when I want a quick hunt, I keep hitting the area, keeps popping out coins and stuff!  Smiley

I have a church camp that has given me 70-80 dollars and a couple of silvers so far. I noticed thay have had several hundred people last week and now at least that many this week so I'll have a good time at the end of summer there again. It had loads of quarters! I got hands full of them off the common area. No jewlery as they don't wear any I found out later LOL But this site we are hitting right now is a virgin and has some silver potenial in it.

For such an area as the Texas Panhandle, you're doing very well. Good job!

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
