Now I see, basically my design did the same thing only being a slick plate using the back side of the v- matting on an 8 inch wide sluice by 28 inches long with no riffles, the gold stuck righto the mat and the black sands washed right out. There was so much micro gold that I couldnt catch and the vortex matting I used on my bottom tray caught both black sands and micro gold but getting the micro out is a problem in itself, although someone just told me to try a plush velvet and then burn the velvet off when finished. Think I like the miller table idea the best so far

Yes, GD not so good on the Super Fine stuff for sure.    But mine works most well on the sandy spots we have.

The Tube with more angular Ribbs works better then the more rounded type.

Well, unfortunately, that's what he is talking about. The flour gold.

Sorry I can't contribute. Cool, ideas everyone. I just found a new poop tube on the highway like in the video.  Smiley Guess, I can try my first build.

Now that I now for sure there is larger gold there i hope to get back there later in the fall. It was a very cool trip and just seeing the fine gold was worth it. We camped out on state land which was free to do so and had a bear cub come close one night i was cooking chicken, not sure where mom was but I moved dinner inside and closed up the BBQ just in case..lol
