Go Up Go Down

Hi Folks,

I found a tot lot in Little Rock that I have never hunted Huh?
It is a small neighborhood park that is along a Creek.

{alt}

I started  huntin tha tot lot and started findin fish hooks.

{alt}

I concentrated on getting them all out of the tot lot. That
was all I cared about.

Most were in this small area,

{alt}

But a few were scattered all over the tot lot. When I got
through, I counted 40 fish hooks.

I was almost through. At the very end, and behind the
swings, out comes this 18k gold and platinum ring.

{alt}

That floored me folks, {alt}

That is my first platinum ring, and my 11th gold ring for
2009 all rolled into one... lol

{alt}

{alt}

It is not that big but it weighs a heavy 10.6 grams,

{alt}

I showed my find to a guy. He was all excited and
wanted to buy a MD.. lol

He threw a quarter down and said here detect this.

I could only get about 7inches with my Compadre.

So, I threw the gold and platinum ring down and
was getting 10 inches plus. I told him that I would
rather have tha ring than the quarter.. lol

He said he would too.

Here is a silver charm I found,

{alt}

And the rest of tha jewelry. Not much,

{alt}

And then, the rest of tha story,

{alt}

Happy Huntin,

Tabdog

Great work clearing out the fishhooks. Don't you wonder sometimes what makes people do that? I find boxloads of nails sometimes but never a full box of fishhooks. Seems deliberately aimed to hurt kids.

A personal thanks from me, TabDog. Well done. Oh, and nice ring too.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

I thought it may be platted or something
weard.

So I took it down and had it varified.
He had to check it. He said they usually
spell the word out, but he has seen them
like this before.

Plus, I tested the gold, it is not platted,
and it is 18k gold.

So, that was good news.

That means that this is an expensive ring.

I would like to find the owner.

It has a touching inscription on the inside.

I think it has been lost for years. It was
deep and grass had grown all over it.

But I am pumped.

So, no bubble burstin allowed.... lol

Happy Huntin,

Tabdog

A good hunt and another reason why gloves are a must when you are digging or searching in a hole.

Keep those tetanis shots up to date as well.

Cheers,

Mike

I been diggin property corners and treasure (trash) for
30 some-odd years. Never wore gloves. Im a bleeder.
On blood thinner for the rest of my life.

In that tot lot, I simply picked up the hooks. I uncovered
alomst all of them with my foot. I just bend over and pick
the stuff up. I never get my knees on the ground. They
are gone out. I can not kneel down. I uncover targets fast.
300 an hour. This one was a little slower. It has grass all
over the place in the sand. Some times I can get 400 an
hour. Other times 30... lol

But, if I concentrate on just getting everything, and forget
about finding something neat, I get in a groove, and some
times lightning strikes. I still got electricity runnin through
me. (I get excited)

Been trying to do that for a couple of weeks now. It finally
happened.

Happy Huntin,

Tabdog
