Has anyone heard the story of a group of Spanish settlers traveling down ELK River when their scouts found an Indian village ahead .The group was 200 to 300 persons and all their possessions. They decided to hide their treasure in a cave and come back, but were all killed, all but the scouts who did not know where the treasure was hidden. They passed the story on but no one knows if it was ever found...or even true. do you know
