Not sure if this is the right board for this question, but being I use a Teknetics, I'll give it a shot. I hear and read   about the Nel and to some extent the Cors coils giving users much more depth than stock coils. I know all things are relative, but all things considered, is it worth the cost? Or perhaps, users not using the full potential of their machines.Any input appreciated. Teach

Often manufacturers make their coils to fit more than one of their models. Aftermarket coils can indeed increase depth and sensitivity because they are geared toward a specific machine.

If you live near a dealer, see if you can try one on your machine. Failing that, buy from KellyCo. They have an excellent return policy if something is not suitable.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Thanks for the information. No local dealers here, but I think Colonial sells demos.

Wish there was some After Market coils for the GMT.  I guess like the Gold Bug, there wouldn't be that much of a market for them.

I have aftermarket coil as good or better. Now I buy a coil for a certain job. I usually run three different coils per detector. Depends on your hunt and area.
