found a 1965 high school class ring...retuened to owner after 48 years

found a Haddon twp high school class ring in the surf at beach haven NJ..down about 14" barley a tone.The ring was missing the center stone but otherwise in great shape. I called the haddon twp high school and gave them the inscribed letters K A E 111.Inside the ring, i got a call back from the school  and was given the name and address of the student's ring.No longer living in haddon twp.i did a search in the white pages and found a person in Oklahoma that possibly fit the info given to me by the school..I called Karl and left him a voice message,(3) days later i got a call from and and explained how i found the ring,he told me his old address and where he lost the ring i was sure he was the owner so i returned the ring to a very happy man.He told me he only had the ring for two months then lost it at the beach..
