I use a 10 x 12 coil and I use a Stealth S3i scoop with a Alum. handle 5 feet long ,it have a wooden core and weigh 7 pounds.

Sound like a neat outfit. I have a similar scoop but had to change to stainless because of the salt water always eating at the aluminum.
