Mr. VanDerBeek needs to gae a hair cut and then comb it in a style that makes him look professional.  Nobody is going to consider voting for a guy that looks like he just got out of bed.  He could also use some help in video production but that's another subject.

BTW: I didn't watch the whole video, maybe later.

I was 12 when I bought my first Rifle a .22 from Sears. I learned to shoot it well and when I found myself in the Army in 1969 I was an expert marksman. After working in the Service I became a Special Agent of the AFOSI and carried a .38. I owned a .45 and several other rifles and shotguns. I still own many firearms and they are secured and locked with trigger locks except for my Colt Commander which I carry daily.

No one is about to take my weapons from me. Until I feel feeble minded and unsafe I will continue to own them. I have them to disuade those vermin amongst us who might want my things, want to harm me or my family, or attempt to threaten me and family in some outward fashion that requires a leaden response.

I'm not a member of the NRA, I can think for myself and decide who I wish to vote for. I will continue to own firearms. Rest assured when the people of this Nation give up their firearms, this Nation will perish.

 Angry

ed..that is the way the majority of us feel....only our "elected leaders" seem to be the weenies, who believe we cannot think for ourselves. The only thing good to come from most of the shootings lately is that the cowards have removed themselves from the gene pool. The poloticians have nobody to blame for the actions, so they have to "take action" against the tools used to commit the crime. I bet that if the shooters were still alive, there wouldn't be as much talk of gun control.

Not really sure what this entire conversation is about but I think that carrying a firearm if you are properly licensed to is actually a VERY smart idea, given that you are using expensive equipment and hunting for treasure and EVERYONE knows it. I tend to be the "suspicious" type who is always well aware of my surroundings including the people in those surroundings but it's not just people that you need to be aware of some people are in areas where "critters" are just as big a concern. As far as the Right to carry a weapon is concerned, it's the MOST important aspect of this country, it guarantees we have all the others! I could go on and on but I will leave it at that...   Smiley

Not really sure what this entire conversation is about but

SRU, go back and read the posts to understand the conversation.  It is basically a discussion of the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and of those who would destroy that amendment!

Kind of figured that, it's a very popular topic right now. I would have NEVER imagined that people in this country would even suggest that the 2nd Amendment be abolished or even restricted since it is the VERY reason we have country! This wasn't some afterthought that they just threw into the Bill of Rights at the last minute it is the very foundation of this concept called liberty, anyone who disagrees with that clearly does not understand the threat that liberty is under on a daily basis all around the world including this country, laws are being used as hammers to mold a new reality and each new one erodes a little more liberty from our lives, continue this process and soon liberty is replaced with tyranny WILLINGLY.... History is full of examples of this process and it NEVER ends well for the PEOPLE involved. Just thought I'd clarify my position a little.  Knight
