Tricky ? How so.    He's really not doing anything special.  Just using good building practices.  


The basket coils seem quit good but pain in the butt to house and enclose well.  

I have some Idea's on building Stacked Basket coils I need to get back to some day.

Agreed,the difficulty is to comply with parameters and not to affect one another..

The basket coil will be on my later tryouts,its complex and its beautifull,i dont know what is gained by it compared to circular type mono's...

At the moment im trying to find which is the beneffit of these type of wound the wire...Spiraly , equally cylindrical or anarchy cylindrical  Grin Grin Grin Grin

  Spiral has sensitivity issues it would seem   .     Everyone attempting them seems to run into that issue.  I think that's due to the geometry the coil only presenting one plane of the inductor to collect the Return field.  For the same reason the Tx Field is weaker as well.  Stacked or bundled coils concentrate the field more.
